Founded by Dr. Annalisa Jenkins OBE, a former Royal Navy medical officer turned global biotech CEO, The Conscience Collective is built on the belief that bold, purpose-led leadership can transform not just companies, but entire communities.

During a career spanning military service, research labs, IPOs and impact boards, Annalisa has led cutting-edge life sciences ventures and mentored high-performing teams on a global stage. Her outstanding contributions to the sector have been recognised with an Honorary Professorship at Queen Mary University of London (2025) and an OBE for services to life sciences in the 2026 New Year Honours. Now, she’s turning her focus to the next generation.

In founding The Conscience Collective, she is offering C-Suite executives under the age of 35 the opportunity to access high-impact mentorship – a chance to learn directly from leaders who’ve navigated science, strategy, and scale. Our Mission

The Conscience Collective: Mentoring Healthcare Innovation for Global Impact.

We bring together experienced business leaders to provide pro-bono mentoring for bold innovators aiming to improve health outcomes, especially for vulnerable communities in low- and middle-income countries.

We support first time C-Suite executives, under the age of 35, developing impactful solutions in areas such as:

  • Prevention
  • Early diagnosis and intervention
  • Med tech
  • Manufacturing

Many innovators want to offer their products or services for free where they’re needed most. But relying solely on philanthropy often isn’t sustainable.

The Conscience Collective helps innovators build financially viable models by monetising their solutions in high-income markets, so they can offer them at little to no cost in low-resource settings.

Our goal: make innovation profitable for both business and humanity.

By removing financial barriers, we help scale access and improve health outcomes where it matters most.

How We Work

Application

To apply, head to the dedicated application page on this site. You’ll need to submit your CV and a short video introducing yourself – tell us about your background, your role in the company, and the health challenge your business is tackling. This opportunity is open to C-suite executives under the age of 35 leading companies in the healthcare space. Full eligibility details are available on the application page.

Review

Our board meets four times a year to review applications, and decisions are made at each meeting. If your application moves forward, a member of our team will be in touch to walk you through the next steps. The full process typically takes around six months from start to finish. If your application isn’t successful this time, we’ll let you know, and we’re always happy to offer feedback.

Mentorship

Our mentorship programme runs over the course of one year. During this time, you and your mentor will define clear objectives together and track your development throughout. We know growth isn’t always linear, and that’s okay. Your mentor is there to support you through challenges, offer perspective, and help you stay focused on what matters most as you move your business forward.

What sort of organisation are you?

The Conscience Collective is a registered Community Interest Company registered in the UK no 16339632. We operate as a not for profit.

Is this limited for UK applicants only?

No. We welcome applications from across the world. Our mentors are international and mentoring can be carried out virtually.

Do you give funding as either an investment or a charitable grant?

No. This is an opportunity for mentorship only and no monetary gifts or investments will be made.

What if I’m not a C-Suite level but I have a great healthcare initiative?

Dr Annalisa Jenkins is passionate about working with the next generation of healthcare leaders to encourage them to lead with kindness, compassion and purpose. As a result applications are only welcomed from those currently operating at C-Suite level. If someone in such a role at your company would like to consider participating in this program please do refer them to this website.

Can I choose my mentor?

It is not possible to choose your own mentor. The Board and the Conscience Collective Team will work together to assign successful applicants to mentors. This decision will be made on a number of factors including but not limited to: size of company, field of work and geography.

If I am unsuccessful, can I apply again?

Yes. Due to the high demand for mentorship spaces we ask applicants to wait one year from any unsuccessful application before applying again. If you have been unsuccessful you will receive feedback from our team as to how to set up any future application for success.

I am over 35. Can I apply?

No. Dr Annalisa Jenkins is passionate about working with the next generation of healthcare leaders to encourage them to lead with kindness, compassion and purpose. As a result applications are welcomed from those under the age of 35.

 I work in healthcare but my specific field is not listed on the application form. Can I still apply?
